Team Expansion
At the start of 2022, we expanded our team. We started the year with about 20 employees, and we close out the year with 39. Not only did we make additions to our Sales Recruiting Team, Marketing Recruiting Team, and Back Office Operations Team, but we also established a Technical Recruiting Team. Overview of the Market
The enterprise software market has faced a downturn since the end of the first quarter in 2022. Throughout the remainder of the year, many companies have experienced layoffs across the board. As a result, the talent pool has increased, however, we’ve seen that the number of opportunities hasn’t decreased, but they’re to be found elsewhere within the technology industry. While certain disciplines remain competitive for job seekers (engineering, sales, product), we have seen a normalization in competition for others (marketing & recruiting).
A word from our CEO:
“In 2008, companies like AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco), Asana, New Relic, Twilio, and Yammer (acquired by Microsoft) were founded. It is often the most challenging times that produce opportunities for the best to emerge. Hopefully, the slowdown of 2022 will pave the way for a list as impressive as this subset of companies founded in our last major recession.“

New Website Pages
We’ve also added a couple of new pages to our website this year. Our Search Highlights page has broken our portfolio down by practice area to easily navigate and view individual placements our team has made.
Our Resources page has several downloadable resources, from our 2023 Compensation Guide to job search guides. We hope these resources will assist everyone as they are searching for new roles, are interested in learning more about compensation for their desired roles, or are looking to add to their team.
Summer Offsite
This past July, RJR Partners team members traveled from all over the country to attend our summer offsite in Napa, California. The offsite consisted of 3 days of fun team building, training sessions, and planning for the remainder of the year.
